Millinette 20/75 pill and lighter periods

Ugh...honestly so sad to be going off this pill. If it weren't for the fact I've completely lose sensation and sex drive I would stay on this for as long as necessary. Made my mood so stable with no other side effects apart from breast tenderness and enlargment, but I'm used to having tender breasts anyway. A lot of spotting in the beginning which was fine, nothing major just wore panty liners.

I have had a great experience with Millinette 20. I got a bit of headaches and dizziness at the start but they disappeared quite quickly. Originally I took the pill back to back and then with a 4 day break but neither of these gave my body enough time to bleed, so I adjusted to having a 7 day break and that has been great. I’ve had very few side effects overall, and it’s been great.

I was prescribed this as my mental health was negatively impacted by Microgynon and this has a low amount of hormones. It’s good to note wherever I lived I found it difficult to get hold of this as it was rarely readily available in pharmacies and had to be ordered in. In later years of taking it my GP started to suggest I switched because this is expensive for the NHS to prescribe at no cost to the user. Positives were no period pain and light, regular periods. Zero physical or appearance related effects. I came off it because I realised I no longer felt like myself. In hindsight I spent almost 10 years in a daze. Lost my sex drive and it made me very anxious and dangerously depressed. I thought that was just me but it all went when I came off this pill. It also made me very hormonal and desperate for a baby but off hormonal contraception I know I don’t want kids!
