Gedarel 30/150 pill and irregular periods

I've tried 12 birth control pills previously and learned that I'm very sensitive to progesterone. I took Gedarel for 2-3 months or so and it wasn't for me. It made me bleed so heavily the whole 2-3 months time that I had endometrial lining expel out of me, at the time it was quite scary as I didn't know what it was! I have also been on Cerelle the mini pill that also has Desogestrel in and I also had extremely heavy bleeding on that, so I think I'm just unlucky with progesterone. I'm now on the Evra patch and i love it

I went on the pill to not get pregnant, and in that way it has worked. However i have had suspicions since the beginning that it wasn't right for me and 5 years later I am looking to change. I feel bloated really often, my moods are lower and I was given anti depressants while on this pill, only starting to realise it might be related. Gained weight. Recently been having regular UTIs and pain after sex, my GP couldn't figure it out but says it might be hormonal.

I went onto this pill after taking Rigevidon for a few years, as that didn't help with my acne. This pill worked amazingly for decreasing my acne and actually gave me confidence again seeing as my spots reduced so much. However, the biggest side effect I had with this pill was terrible vaginal dryness, loss of sex drive and low moods. I think I was so anxious about how dry I was and with the decreased sex drive, I felt like there was something wrong with me, when it wasn't- it was the pill.
