I swapped to Gedarel following a terrible experience with Levest and Rigevidon (acne and anxiety/low mood) after the discontinuation of Loestrin 30 and from the offset felt increased tightness in the womb and cramping on and off. Nausea was also something I struggled with whilst on it and once woke in the middle of the night to vomit because of it (maybe too high oestrogen for me?). Overall I'm a positive person but i definitely didn't feel like myself on this pill. Many dark thoughts towards months 4 onwards and a lot of anger, irritability and feeling hormonal/overly emotional. I really wanted this pill to work for me but sadly I've had to make the decision that it really doesn't suit me. I knew it wasn't right for me from the start but felt I should try it out of desperation. Felt depressed at times and anger/irritability was the main problem for me, also had some mental fogginess and general sadness and low mood. Only plus sides was better skin than on R&Le and strangely increased sex drive but most days I would feel unlike myself.

I was happily on Loestrin 30 for 4+ years until its sadly been discontinued. This is the second pill I've tried as a replacement and while its much better than the first alternative to Loestrin, its still far from perfect. The main problem for me is spots. Going from a flawless complexion to bumpy and spots polling up on my forehead. Mods have been a little more erratic, I feel angry a lot more and impatient at times, but it also feels like I've gotten more life force/grit/drive, so its not all bad. I feel a little ore emotional while on it, the anger eruptions tend to be attached to tears almost like a temper tantrum. Weight for the most part has been pretty constant, although i feel like binging much more often than usual. Trying to battle any signs of weight gain as i am not a fan of it. Overall probably 6.5/10 but real downside for me are the forehead spots.

definitely recommend if you don’t want your periods to change and don’t want bad mood swings however it has made me twice as hungry but it’s totally different with everyone:)
