Sayana Press injection and heavier periods

I only ended up using this for the three month period as I found it made my periods longer and heavier. I was left with only two weeks in between my periods, with my menstural bleeding lasting for at least 10 days. It didn't help with my PMDD/PME or my acne, which are my main goals with contraceptive.

After the first injection; the first month was normal. But the next month came with heavy bleeding; severe cramps and the bleeding didn't stop for three straight months. After which it began to give space of few days . It was a totally frustrating experience and I wouldn't go for it ever in my life again.

I’m on my second shot of Sayana Press. This is my first time on a contraceptive injection and to be fair with you, never again. I was on the pill before and I had no complications except from mood swings but wanted something that lasted long and was more convenient as I used to forget to take my pill quite often. I’ve been on the injection for 4 months now and I’ve been bleeding nonstop since. It’s affecting my every day life and there is nothing doctors or anybody can do about it, all they say to me is that it takes up to a year for your bleeding to stop which isn’t even guaranteed, who wants to wait a whole year and bleed through out it?! Such a terrible experience for me and it’s so sad.
