The patch was great because you only had to change it once a week and it worked regardless of if you were sick- unlike the pill. I had heavy and painful periods and this gave me control and lessened the pain without stopping my periods. I did have side effects - cervix erosion, but this was after 10 years of constant use. I would recommend it but limit the time you are on it. Its not a forever contraception - but I don't think any of them are...

I'm still new to the patch, its my first month. On the 3rd patch. Started spotting mid second patch, now bleeding along with lower back ache and cramping has increased. Blood comes with weird string like blood clots. I cry easily to almost anything whether good or bad. Feel generally negative which is unlike me.

Overall the patch is very good. I do get skin irritation but I just ensure I move it around in different areas. I have noticed that loosing weight is extremely difficult as well as being lethargic also. Other than this, evra is a great source of protection.
