Overall helped to regulate my periods, but also had significant side effects on my food intake/weight and on my energy levels.

Put in because I have endometriosis. 6 days after putting it in, I experienced excruciating pain that I had to be prescribed an even stronger painkiller. I had periods that lasted 30 days or more. I waited it out for 6 months and got it taken out because it was just getting worse and worse. I then had blood clots the size of my palm that I had to go to a&e for. Awful experience.

I would definitely recommend the coil. The insertion is a bit uncomfortable but no where near as bad as what I red before and so worth it! My periods have almost stopped and I get 2 or 3 very short very sharp cramps a few days before my period but these seem to be getting better. This is sooo much better than the pill which was making me sad and feeling flat. With the coil I still get my normal pms symptoms
