I’ve had a pretty good experience with this pill. I went on my first pill at age 19 (Rigevidon) and I experienced quite a lot of nausea with it so got given Millinette 30/75. The nausea persisted and I felt sick almost every time I ate with no particular pattern, so they put me on Millinette 20/75 which has slightly less oestrogen. I have had a pretty good experience but at almost the 2 year mark of taking it, I have started to experience a lot of brain fog and almost feeling like a shell of myself! Sex drive is very low too as well as vaginal dryness and my first ever case of thrush. These however are the only side effects I’ve experienced now apart from some headaches when I have a pill break. I’m open to trying something new but don’t want to rock the boat as I haven’t had the worst experience. But that being said I do feel like it is affecting mine and my partner’s sex life. Could anyone advise me of another option that may help get my libido back on track?

I assumed that as the dose was v low the side effects would be minimal, but I had the most dry mouth and my anxiety went sky high, to the point I lost my brain completely - paranoia, memory loss, brain fog. I had to come off it after a month as I couldn't stomach it anymore. Disclaimer - I do have severe anxiety and depression normally but this was something else.

I was prescribed this pill and told to take it continuously to help with severe PMS and hormone withdrawl symptoms before the break bleed. I have been in a long term relationship for 7 years. I've tried many other oral contraceptives before this one (rigevidon, yasmin, cilest, dianette). When I was younger I suffered from hormonal acne and dianette helped to clear it but I couldn't stay on it for long because of increased risks and side effects. This is the first pill I've tried that's regulated my mood somewhat, hasn't effected my skin, and taking it continuously means I don't suffer from hormone withdrawal symptoms. The only downside is I struggle to keep weight off and have had increased breast pain on this pill, which seems to have regulated now but sometimes can be a bit annoying. I also get frequent UTIs, however this has calmed down after a longer course of antibiotics from the doc. Overall I'm happy with this pill, and it's the one I've stuck with the longest. However I'm a bit concerned what will happen when I decide to come off of it eventually and if my hormone withdrawal might be worse.
