Loestrin 30 pill and negative mood

I moved to this pill after being on Rigevidon for severe period pain, when I was on Loestrin my skin was a lot clearer, it helped a lot with period pain and I did not notice major mood swings. However since coming off it I realised when I was on it I was a completely muted version of myself, nothing really excited me and I felt like I lost the passion for life. I have seen someone else describe this on here which is interesting. This has really put me off wanting to use hormonal contraceptives but it’s the only thing that helps my bad period pains unfortunately.

Moving to Loestrin 30 from Rigevidon was a huge change, I felt much better on loestrin 30. But after a few months, my moods began to drop again and I felt as though I was a muted version of myself. Issues with my skin, complete loss of sex drive and lack of motivation for life. This experience convinced me to stop using hormonal contraceptives altogether.

While I was on the pill I was very emotionally sensitive. My boyfriend at the time had read that women can experience negative side affects, something i had never thought about. So I stopped to see how I’d feel and noticed that my overall happiness increased. I was also better not letting everything get to me. Still very pleased that i did and I feel the side affect stigma needs to be lifted.
