This was the only hormonal contraceptive I had least side effects with. If absolutely necessary I would use it again. Great for those who haven't had children as its smaller than mirena and copper coil

I had the jaydess inserted after a good experience with the mirena coil. it was a huge mistake for me. I didnt stop bleeding for 3 months and just generally felt awful. My gyno recommended to take it out as it turned out I had an infection which wouldnt clear up with antibiotics and my vagina has never been the same since. It gets really dry, sensitive and I suffer with dermatitis/eczema. It also caused me to have a cyst which then burst and bled in to itself. Once I had the jaydess removed the infection cleared up as well as the cyst but I still suffer with awful eczema.

I originally left a positive review around the Jaydess coil and still stand by that it was very positive for me. Changing from the combined pill to the coil was a life saver I’ve felt much more myself... however last week after a missed period and pain that gradually got worse I was told in an emergency appointment that my coil had slipped and was about to fall out! A year after I had it inserted!! I’m now going through pregnancy tests and swabs to ensure all ok! I’m incredibly sore from the removal and currently terrified I’m pregnant. Would not go back to the coil after this experience!
