Overall not that many side effects but I do get lots of really bad headaches and dizziness most days. The pill really increased my anxiety a lot and I regularly have low mood

I’ll give a detailed review - started it to help my spots a little, and due to getting in a relationship. I’ve been on it almost 2 months which might not be long enough, but my spots have gotten slightly worse, and had mood swings (such as crying over not being able to chose what takeaway to get for dinner hahahah, compared to me crying once in a blue moon). But the thing that confirmed me needing to change is the fact my vagina is irritated and sore, think it’s thrush, as applying the cream helps… until I decide it feels okay and stop applying it for it to only get sore again :(. I haven’t had the thrush problem with other combined pills I’ve tried - I’ve tried rigevidon, millinette and eloine.

Microgynon worked pretty well for me. The most noticeable thing was that my periods became shorter, and the blood was very thick, dark and clotty. I had some other mental health stuff going on over the 2 + years of taking it (and we were in lockdown for some of it!), so hard to say if it genuinely affected my mood. I was never able to run packs together - I would always spot and then bleed after 2-3 days.
