A very reliable method of contraception as long as you know how to put it on properly! There is also a 30 minute limit on how long you should use one to make sure it's stays effective and prevent breaking/slipping. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/contraception/condom-tips/ Trying different brands and types until you find one you both like is key to satisfaction with using them. Also lube really helps. Currently using during the fertile window of my cycle, determined by the fertility awareness method I use (symptothermal method).

I don't enjoy condoms - it interrupts the process of sex and recently I have used it it has completely thrown my vagina out of synch and I had a crazy irritation, dryness that nearly tipped over to BV/thrush. I also feel it definitely numbs the sensation and it feels more like you are having sex with an object as opposed to skin on skin contact. But it's good to keep STIs at bay and it is sure way to enjoy sex without getting pregnant so it is the right solution with a short term partner.
