I had been on and off the pill for 15 years, my entire adult life. I’d been on a mini pill for a while but noticed a complete loss of confidence over the years, and a seriously low sex drive. I booked a consultation with The Lowdown this time last year to discuss contraception methods to see if there was anything else that might be suitable for me. I was recommended Natural Cycles - I signed up and haven’t looked back since. Not only has my sex drive and confidence in myself come back, I have also learnt so much about the menstrual cycle as well as my own cycle. I’ve been using the app consistently every day for a year and have enjoyed a very healthy sex drive with my partner, plus the benefit of ‘green’ days where you don’t have to use a condom as the app tells you when you are and aren’t fertile (when you use the app consistently and carefully). I can honestly say it has been life-changing for me and well worth the investment.

You have to take your temperature and do a ovulation test ( wee sample ) both in the morning then you add all in the app and it tells you if is a red day ( which you have to use another contraceptive method ) o green then you can have sex without contraception because when you have a green day you are not meant to get pregnant . I think if you want to get pregnant go for this app ! but as contraception is not very good as you hardly ever get green days and when you get them ( very rare ) you feel you can still getting pregnant also boyfriends / partners find so difficult to trust the app which it makes it even more difficult for the woman . As an app works very well and is interesting to know when do you ovulate or if you don't ovulate or if you ovulate twice but as contraception needs improvement

I couldn't believe after being on the hormonal birth control pill for the past 14 years Natural Cycles was able to accurately predict my first period to the day. I've really enjoyed learning more about my body in the process and look forward to measuring as part of my new morning routine.
