Drovelis pill

Overall this is one of the better pills I've been on (previously tried Dianette and Marvelon) - I don't think I'll ever find a perfect solution! For PCOS it improved acne effectively and quickly. However, I've had much better results reducing hirsutism with previous pills and with the Mirena coil. Main perk of this pill compared to others is that I haven't experienced thrush (which was a regular issue before on other pills). I also feel like my sex drive, while reduced, isn't totally absent! The knowledge that this pill contains lower doses of active ingredients and is less 'synthetic' than traditional pills makes me feel like it's closer to my natural hormonal state. I'm hopeful that when I do come off the pill and try to get pregnant, it won't take many months for my periods to come back. It took several months to return with other pills. Mentally I think this pill is dampening my mood and energy a bit, but at least I don't experience the huge mood swings that I'd experience during my natural cycle. Finally I've heard anecdotes about ADHD medication not being as effective whilst on the pill. I haven't found this to be an issue taking Drovelis, and actually the consistency in my mood is fairly helpful for ADHD symptom management.

Drovelis pill

Drovelis was my first ever contraceptive pill. While I experienced very slight dizziness during the first month of taking it, this no longer persists and the only major side effect I got was breast enlargement and tenderness which started during 2nd month of taking this pill (which - enlargement - I actually absolutely loved).

Drovelis pill

I was using Danielle for more than one year and when the side effects became so intense I decided to change for another brand and my gynaecologist suggested Drovelis. I’ve been on it for more than 3 months however I am experiencing similar symptoms of the old one (nausea and headaches being the most annoying to me). If things will keep going like this I think I need to consider changing again :(

Drovelis pill

Everything started great with this pill. Daily mood swing around 6hrs after taking the pill so I switched to taking in the evening and noticed I had angry nightmares but I can live with that. After 6months of taking the pill I had a period lasting 18 days that left me unable to walk and I was so scared I went to A&E. I was prescribed tranexamic acid, no diagnosis made. I continued to take drovelis. My next period arrived 5 weeks later and lasted 3 weeks. I have given birth without pain relief and the pain of that period was far worse. Hospital diagnosed me with stage 4 adenomyosis stating I must have had terrible periods for years which I haven't. This all came on very suddenly. It might not be linked to drovelis but it seems odd to me and my instinct says it is. I now have a "bulky uterus" and daily pain despite stopping the pill. My options are mirena or hysterectomy. I also had gastro issues starting around 4months after starting drovelis. My inflammatory markers were up, I had bleeding and my normal bowel habits altered dramatically. I was seen under urgent care pathway for cancer screening and given all clear. Suspected Colitis or Chrons but all negative. Since stopping the pill all of my symptoms have steadily improved. It didn't occur to me for a minute that it could be linked to drovelis. It may not be but I hope my symptoms are recorded by the manufacturer should anyone else experience the same.

Overall I’m very pleased with Drovelis. No weight changes or mood swings. Periods are regular and not painful at all.

Drovelis pill

I tried Drovelis to attempt to manage PMDD (severe mood drop on top of existing depression) and PCOS. After 5+ months, my sense is that it was absolutely helping with PMDD. I aimed to take it continuously to minimise any mood drop' and did so for 3 months at first. Unfortunately, I just would not stop bleeding - it was more than 'spotting', enough to get through 3-4 tampons a day, every day. Then I tried 2 months of allowing a break between active pills to see if encouraging a 'period' would reduce the breakthrough bleeding, but to no avail. I didn't even used to suffer heavy periods, so I'm genuinely gutted I couldn't seem to settle and stop bleeding on this, as it was great for my PMDD and had no other negative side effects (beyond breast tenderness and temporary breast enlargement in month 1-2). Doctor's advice was if it hadn't settled by almost 6 months, best to try something else (so now I'm starting Yasmin).

Drovelis pill

I’ve only been using this contraceptive pill for 10 days, however I’ve not been using anything for the last 3 years. The immediate side effects were some dizziness and a few headaches here and there. After about 3/4 days these seem to have disappeared. My skin has broken out, however this is also the festive period and I’m wearing make up more than usual, so it’s tricky to tell if Drovelis is the cause. Im the last 2/3 days I have noticed I’m feeling a lot more anxious than usual, my heart rate is often elevated, which is affecting my moods, I’m going to keep going until the end of this pack as often you need to try for at least 3 months to see if it settles, and I’m experiencing some period like cramping. My weight hasn’t changed, but I do have less of an appetite now. I started the pill as I have suspected PCOS and since starting, I’ve not had as many ‘cravings’ for foods and I feel fuller for longer - which helps me manage my weight. I’m not actively trying to loose weight right now (what’s the point in the festive period) but I would have usually retained a lot more water (due to the amount of festive foods I’ve been having) but I’ve not seen the increases stick around for more than a day, which is great. I’ve also noticed my usual permanent bloating has been going down, and it’s certainly showing in my face. Overall, if the anxiety subsides I’ll be very happy with this pill, fingers crossed it does over time as I’ve not experienced half of the usual side effects from taking the pill and those I have experienced have been relatively mild.

Drovelis pill

So far I don't have a bad word to say about this pill! This is the second combined pill I've tried after being on Microgynon 30 for about 6 months a couple of years ago. The experience I had on Microgynon was very negative and scared me out of trying any other combined pills until I read up about Drovelis. I'm in a long term relationship and only on the pill for contraception reasons, so slightly improved skin is just considered a bonus for me! It's nice to have found a pill that actually positively affects my mood rather than negatively impacts it like Microgynon did for me. I also lost my sex drive completely on Microgynon, but have been pleasantly surprised that I haven't had the same experience with Drovelis. I would even say it's improved my orgasm experience and feel like I get more aroused than I used to before being on pill - which I didn't expect at all! The only negative I've found with Drovelis is the occasional spotting when taking the active pills. This happened around month 3-4 of taking it but it seems to be happening less now. The spotting isn't heavy enough to use a pad or a liner but isn't ideal (hence the 4 stars). I feel like this is a great pill to try if the older generations don't work for you :)
