Was on this pill for around 7 years from the age of 15. Worked fairly well. The main side effects I experienced were bleeding during sex, chronic thrush, fatigue and low libido. After around 5 years I started peeing a lot during the night which led me to believe that it caused some insulin resistance. The pharmacies where I lived stopped supplying it so I ended up switching to another pill.

I was happy enough on this pill for about 4 years from the age of 16 to 20, however from 20 onwards the emotional side effects especially in the week before the withdrawal bleed were too much. I was crying all the time for no reason whatsoever which was very unlike me. I switched to the ring at the age of 21 and this definitely helped with the pms symptoms.

Despite some of the negative side effects. It’s definitely better than the other pills I’ve tried so far. It’s been 100% effective. And after a few years of use, the initial weight gain does stop.
