Maexeni pill and negative mood

I was on this pill for 4 years and I used to swear by it. Got put on it when I was 16 and it didn’t have much effect on anything other than being slightly more emotional and having larger boobs. GP tried to change me over to microgygon which gave me HORRIBLE side effects as they stopped providing Maexeni. Overall great pill, periods were very regular after about 6 months, skin was clear and mood swings were not terrible

I started seeing a therapist because of how depressed this pill has made me. My doctor advised I continue to take it despite this. I am on my third month and it has only got worse! I have never been depressed in my life so it’s thrown my world upsidown. I previously had an IUD which I had in for around a year, I had continuously bleeding for that entire year hence why I made the switch. Fair to say I’ll be getting on this pill as soon as I can.

Been on this pill for nearly 6 months since I’ve been on this pill I’ve noticed I have gained half a stone and i would get other side effects such as sweating and nausea and sometimes the odd headaches the only improvement I have noticed with this pill is clear skin and more regular lighter periods the great gain for me isn’t great I exercise a a lot and can’t seem to shift the weight I’m hoping to switch to a more permanent contraception as I’m not planning on ever having children in the future
