Desogestrel pill and pelvic infection

overall it has stopped pregnancy which is the main reason for taking. the side affects as I’ve got older are a lot more noticeable the longer I’ve been on it. Anxiety, depression, weight gain.. currently looking for an alternative

I was having the worst periods ever. To the point I would be absolutely sobbing in bed because I was in that much pain. I’ve only been taken this pill 2 months and it worked straight away! I have 0 period now which is so much better for me :)

I have just come of the mini pill after 5 years. At first I had no negative effects from it but the last 3 years I had started to notice I felt numb I was not happy or sad just numb and had brain fog all the time . I went on this pill to stop my periods and as I get migraines this was the best option it did stop my periods and It protected me from pregnancy so I was happy. After 2 years I noticed I was gaining weight I could not lose no matter how hard I tried and was always bloated no matter what. I suffered vigina dryness ,complete loss of sex drive and chronic thrush and utis. I now found out that it has given me a leaky gut and candida over growth. I also ended up with ovarian cysts and lumps in my arm pits and breasts I can not tell if this was from the pill however I do Believe not having a period for 5 years could have been a factor.
