It's not been terrible but I'm really not a fan of this pill. I'm on the pill for my endometriosis (to stop my periods) but I can't use the combined pill due to migraines. I've still had periods on this pill - they've been very regular though, with 26 day cycles. My skin has been really bad. It's been very oily with more acne which has been on my back/shoulders/upper arms/chest as well as my face. I've also gained weight quite quickly which has resulted in a lot of stretch marks. I've completely lost my sex drive. I get a lot of pain around ovulation and in the week before my period, as well as my period.

As soon as I went on this pill I experienced cystic red spots on my cheeks and chin, which are (for me) hormonal spot areas. Literally made my skin awful as well as exacerbating my migraines with aura which were caused by the combined pill- the joys! I will definitely be researching alternative options now.

Love my mini pill! Went on it about 6 years ago to stop my painful periods, they stopped almost instantly and only ever come back if I run out of pills and don't take them for about a week. No side effects for me except possibly lower sex drive, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons for me as it's great having no periods and very reliable contraception. Everyone's different but for me it's great!

Really liked this pill at first as I had minimal side effects and only had a period once every 3 months. My periods were also so much lighter, almost like spotting. However, about 2 years in I started to have more irregular and frequent periods - sometimes once a month, sometimes twice in a month. I also started to experience spotting after sex and otherwise so ended up switching.

Started this contraception after a pregnancy scare while using the fertility awareness method. I have been on it for just over a month and have bled the entire time. I’m absolutely exhausted and have no sex drive, I’ve been much more sensitive emotionally and my cramps have been worse. Definitely already considering trying something else.

Have been taking for a month at the moment - previously took a few years ago and had no real issues. Periods have stopped for now which is brilliant as i suffer from heavy irregular painful periods. Nausea started a few days into taking but starting to back off now. A few headaches but nothing terrible. Vaginal dryness is quite noticeable. and period like cramping but no bleeding. Boobs have got bigger and are rock solid and tender.

The first side effect I really noted from being on this pill was very low mood (felt very emotional in situations where I'd normally feel fine) and breast tenderness as well. When I had my first period on the pill, it lasted for 38 days before I had to stop taking it.

I have never had anxiety before in my life, 3 months into taking this mini-pill I was worried constantly. At first I didn't link taking the pill to how I was feeling and thought it was just something I was going through, however, it got so bad that I decided to change pills to see if it helped at all - overnight, I was feeling less worried, less shaky, less like the world was coming to an end! There was slight weight gain and my periods were heavier, but it was the anxiety that really got me.

I changed to this mini-pill from Cerelle as that one gave me quite bad anxiety. Apart from slight weight gain, feeling tired in the few days before my period and having quite a heavy period in the beginning this pill has regulated my periods and shortened them. Will continue using it.

It was all okay for a while but suddenly developed severe period-like cramping, but every single day. I had to leave the gym because the pain made me feel SO faint. I called the doctor and almost was given a diagnosis of IBS before we both made the connection to the pill being the cause. As soon as I stopped the pill, the cramping went away.
