Femodette pill and headaches

been on femodette for nearly a decade to control my endometriosis and it’s been fantastic. i used to take it with breaks and had minimal cramps from the endo. i now take back to back and have only had one instance for breakthrough bleeding. it’s been so long that i can’t say for sure the impact on mood, weight etc.

I had regular lighter periods and my cramps weren't as bad on this pill. I liked having the control of taking the week break or taking the pill packs back-to-back in order to skip my period. I was moved from the combined pill to the progesterone only pill because I started getting severe migraines (without aura) and there was no other cause. The migraines stopped once I was moved to a different form of contraception. I also developed recurrent thrush, cystitis and became prone to migraines while on Femodette. I haven't been getting UTIs on my current contraception but still suffer from vaginal thrush.

I started using this type of pill because it was a lower hormone dosage than other mainstream brands, but since coming off of it, I would never go back on to it! I ended up taking it for the majority of my 20s so thought I was just 'myself' but since coming off I've realised I was much more emotional and sensitive than I am now. I didn't put a great amount of weight on, using it however I do feel like I carried a lot of water and instantly lost that puffy look when I came off of it. The only perks were my periods were super short and I always had energy, I am now on the copper IUD and often have a 'tired' week before and during my period which I didn't have with Femodette.
