Has really helped with my PMDD and overall mood. Have had some weight gain but would take that over the depression.

This took me a while to realise that my mood was being negatively affected as I also had a big change in life, getting married but weight and mood really changed. Felt unhappy a lot of the time and thought it was the changes in life but then stripping those changes away, I stiff felt sad and when I was off the pill on my period o felt so much better and more like myself.

I swapped onto Lucette after I started having spotting on Yasmin. I thought it would be an easy switch as they are the same but it was not. I started having awful low moods and suffering from cystic acne for the first time in my life. I stopped after 6 weeks. I have since found out that they use different binders in yasmin and lucette and that is what likely caused my issues.

Been on this pill for a few years and absolutely loving it. I’ve previously been on a different pill and had the implant both of which I felt made me crazy. This one makes me feel the most myself I don’t have a fault to say about it at all!

Of all the pills I’ve tried (looking at you, Rigevidon) Lucette is by far the best for me. I’ve had very minimal side effects aside from sore boobs occasionally, and my periods have been so much lighter and more manageable than before. I only wish I’d started on this sooner! After years of feeling miserable on different pills I feel like I’ve finally found “the one” - my only real grievance being that I have to pay for it as GP would not prescribe but it’s a price I’m very willing to pay! Girls if you’re unsure give this a go - especially if you’ve been on others for a long time like I was.

While the pill can cause/increase migraines in some people, I actually found that the combined pill helps mine. I usually get a migraine 3/4 days into my 7-day pill break, but shortening my pill break to just 3 or 4 days — starting a new pill strip a few days earlier — has stopped my hormone-related migraines.

I went on this one after a bad experience with a similar pill it’s okay. I kind of feel stuck on it because it’s a big improvement from the sickness I felt from the last pill but it’s still not great however I fear that if I change my pills again all those side effects will come back. I experienced HRT like symptoms from what i’ve seen they get better then they get horrendously worse it’s like a constant cycle.

I've suffered with acne since I was a teen and had to come off Dianette due to my age. So I went on this back in October after a brief stint on Rigevidion, which I didn't get on with. Lucette made me have panic attacks and my anxiety skyrocketed while I was on it, to the point where I had to be signed off work. On top of this, I didn't really notice a lot of difference in my acne, only that it had stopped appearing around my neck under my chin. So I made the decision to come off Lucette, hopefully something else will help me.

I've been taking Lucette for 14 months after being contraceptive free for 3 years. I haven't noticed major differences at all, however I do feel a slight mental dullness/brain fog as you usually do with the pill which is annoying but that's just part of the side effects. Overall I'm happy with it and wouldn't change to another pill! It's also helped my acne prone skin a lot

I'm going to give this pill 4/5. First off, I started on this pill in 2019 at age 20 in combination with Spironolactone (for 6 months) to help my skin as I had back and chest acne. It definitely did the job well, my skin is so clear and I have no chest or back acne, just the occasional small spot on my face. I wasn't having sex when I first started this pill so it really was just for my skin, the only noticeable side effects at first were my boobs - they grew a lot, I went from a 32dd to a 34ff. I also had some initial weight gain but didn't have a problem losing it, I successfully lost 3 stone whilst on this pill but my boobs stayed massive (30f). The other side effect I noticed were how sensitive my eyes became, even when its rainy/cloudy outside I can barely keep my eyes open without sunglasses; I believe this is due to the pill drying them out as it has done my skin. In the past 2 years however I have noticed (as has my boyfriend and mum) how emotional I am, I cry at everything, sometimes I will be working and just start crying as well as a general feeling of melancholy and being unmotivated - even my coworkers would say 'isn't it about time you cried today?'. Not ideal. I have been contemplating coming off this pill for the past year as the lack of control regarding my emotions has become unbearable, I can't have a regular conversation without crying. Have decided that I am going to do it, although I am nervous that my skin will go back to being spotty though.
