Kyleena IUD and irregular periods

when i got the iud put in the pain wasn’t too bad but after a short time the pain got worse and worse and i literally cried myself into exhausted sleep. my periods are just as long, heavier, and more irregular. my cramps hurt worse and they last longer, my breasts are always tender, i can’t lose weight i just keep gaining, my acne is either barely noticeable or flaring up very badly at random, and i almost always have a headache or migraine

Love the Kyleena! I had lots of side effects with birth control pills (mood swings, weight gain) and experience very few on the Kyleena. The only thing is that my period is irregular. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend it for people who want peace of mind and few side effects.

Insertion was painful (almost passed out) but once it was in I was okay for a bit. I had no sex drive for the entire time I had it. After a few months I started noticing hair loss and kept getting intense migraines that had me missing work and school. Then I started getting heart palpitations that stopped immediately after I got it removed. My mental health took a turn for worse and hasn't been the same since.
