Having previously tried 12 birth control pills, this was one of the better ones I've tried. I'm very sensitive to progesterone. I was on this pill for about 5 months and I noticed no change to my mood, my skin was significantly clearer and I skipped periods every 3 months which was great as mine are very heavy and painful. i definitely gained weight which is very common for me and birth control but it was also lifestyle changes too. Unfortunately this pill made my IBS so intolerable that I had to stop taking it. I would have continued on it otherwise so it was very annoying. I'm now on the Evra patch and loving it- very similar side effects but no IBS!
Very positive mood

This is the pill that doesn’t make me feel depressed- has really helped my periods, they are lighter and shorter. I can predict when it’s coming. It makes me feel sick so I take it at night and sleep. Also, super good at preventing pregnancy.

I switched from Cilique to Lizinna due to the shortage and at first I thought it was good. It helped with my periods and made my skin clearer. The longer I was taking it, the more I noticed the effect it had on my mental health. My anxiety and depression had dramatically increased, to the point where i found it almost unbearable. I was having panic attacks everyday and found myself extremely emotional. I became a horrible person to be around due to my low mood and so I felt the need to stop socializing with my friends and family altogether. I eventually put 2 and 2 together and realized that it was most likely Lizinna. I managed to find a months worth of Cilique in a pharmacy and have been taking it for only a week now and have already seen a positive change in my mentality. I am just nervous because of this shortage and I ahve found Cilique to be the only pill that works for me after trying multiple (eg. Overeena, Cilique, Cilest, Lizinna and more)

I moved on to this from Cilique due to a shortage. At first I didn't notice any side effects or difference from cilique, but as the months went on (started around 3 months onwards) I noticed that the pill seemed to trigger my cold sores every single month, at least 1 week prior to my period starting. I've never had them triggered by hormones before and this is a big reason for coming off this pill. Looking back I also can see my sex drive dramatically reduced, but this could be also due to the cold sores.

Very few side effects other than a bit of breast tenderness and nausea in the first couple of months. Since then I've had much lighter periods and it helped with breakouts
Improved skin

Didn't love this; I switched from dianette to lizinna for about 1.5 years, and during that time it made me a lot less mentally stable and made my breasts sore around the time of my withdrawal bleeds. It did help with my painful periods and acne though.

I was on Cilest originally, and then swapped to Cilique and very recently they have had a supply issue and so switched onto Lizinna. I missed one pill last month (due to not collecting prescription on time) and then spotted consistently until I had a 7 day break and had a “period.” A week back on it now since the break and so far so good and no noticeable changes from using Cilique.

Was on Cilique for around 6 years and had to unexpectedly change to Lizinna when there was a nationwide shortage of Cilique. Despite being told Lizinna was essentially the same hormone ingredients as Cilique, my skin has got a lot better (less acne) on Lizinna in a relatively short period of time. Have had a couple of episodes of cystitis since being on Lizinna but this could be due to other factors - I’m not convinced this is due to the change in pill. No noticeable changes since being on Lizinna besides better skin

I was using Rigevidon in the last 6-7 years, and I had no problem with that, except that I had random headaches sometimes and I lost all my sex drive - so badly, that my husband started to complain, so I reached out for my GP to look for an other one. This is when I went onto Lizinna pill. Well, where to start.. Not only my sex drive didn't improve, but I started to gain weight very quick, even though I am doing strict diet and I cut down on alcohol a lot. I have only used 1,5 leaf of the pill, I am now going back to Rigevidon straight away!

Much better than any of my previous pills. My sex drive is better / back to normal and that’s the biggest thing I wanted! I feel like I am gaining weight though, and I have found myself feeling more anxious than my previous pills. Also, if I forget my pill (even once) it sends me into a full hormonal meltdown. I forgot to take it after a night out and the next day I was an absolute crying mess! Normally, it’s okay though, one of the better ones!
