I’ve been taking this for over a month and I’ve had terrible skin, I’ve never had spots in my life and I’ve got so many. I’ve also rarely ever had thrush, which I have now read is a common side effect. Also some hair loss. Not a great pill at all, have stopped taking completely.

I was prescribed this an ‘equivalent’ pill to Yasmin. I trusted that it would be the same, as Yasmin is the only pill that has been okay for me. I had been on Yasmin a year and then they gave me dretine with no heads up. I gave it a chance but I am on week 4 I’ve had nearly 3 weeks of dark brown (occasionally red) bleeding. Bloating, increased spots on the first week but they have cleared up now by week 3. I have noticed a massive affect on my mood. I feel very down and sensitive, could cry any second and feel snappy and angry too. I need to change back to Yasmin. So disappointed

Ive been given this pill as a substitute for yasmin from my pharmacy and the last few months ive suffered alot of hormonal issues. I only linked all my issues ater googling why I had spots in each ear that has never happened before. It said its due to hormonal problems and then I realised all my other problems such as mouth ulcers every week, migraine, increased acne on my face and spots in my ear are down to this pill. I never had any problems like this on other contraceptions so I wont be using this again.

I've been happy with this pill for 17 years. It regulates my periods, and gives me much less period pain. I have adenomyosis (similar to Endo) and it has kept symptoms at bay. I have never got pregnant on it. The only negative side effect I feel, is that I'd say the top 3% of my happiness is shaved off, but I don't notice it day to day.

I was prescribed Dretine as a 'cheaper' version of Yasmin (the pill that I originally wanted to try) with the aim of regulating my then-heavy and unpredictable periods and clear up hormonal acne on my jaw/chin. Dretine definitely cleared up my skin and started to regulate my period, even though my very first period on it was horrendous (heavy and painful bleeding, although this might have been exacerbated by the fact that I hadn't had a period in several months beforehand). However, I stopped taking it two-and-a-half months after going on it as the nausea was unbearable, especially during the 'ovulation' period - I kept being sick and experienced terrible diarrhea around day 14/15 of my cycle, which was the worst sickness that I have ever experienced. Despite having since switched to Yasmin, my sense of taste is still different (i.e. I find the smell and taste of certain foods and drinks, such as coffee and certain meats, absolutely revolting). I also experienced some headaches, which have mostly disappeared since switching to Yasmin.
