I have been on this pill for 7 years now and have had no side effects from it at all. It has stopped all my breakouts for my skin in terms of positives, and no negatives to report. I take it continuously without a break and never had issues with breakthrough bleeding or anything. Overall a great pill, no issues.

I switched to this brand of pill after getting quite bad mood side effects on the previous pills I had tried (microgynon, yasmin) as I'd heard it was better for that sort of thing. It definitely was a lot better than the previous pills I had tried (they made me extremely depressed, constantly crying and not being able to deal with stress) but since making the decision to stop the pill a month and a half ago I have realised it was definitely still affecting my mood a bit. I feel a lot more bubbly, confident and more in tune with my emotions off the pill. I found it dulled my emotions a bit - I rarely cried even when I needed to - whereas now I feel like my emotions are normal. The main reason for coming off the pill though (as my mood was something I was okay with) was my sex drive. The pill almost completely killed it. Since coming off the pill this has changed dramatically and is what I'm most happy about. I would say Eloine is still a good pill to try and it has done me well for the past 2 and a half years. If you've struggled with low mood or other mood symptoms on previous pills and are very keen to be on contraception I would definitely recommend it.

I started taking contraceptive pills when I was 16. If I knew I had all these side effects I would never started. I tried to stop taking them a few times and my body has an awful reaction when I don't take the pills (such as more hair, massive acne, bad mood, depression, etc).

I have been taking the Eloine pill for 10 months now and it has been pretty good. Not much has really changed for me which is great. My periods are the same (if not lighter) , my skin has stayed clear and I haven’t lost or gained any weight. The only thing I have noticed a change in since taking Eloine is a slight increase in anxiety and being more emotional than I used to be. However, these aren’t too extreme and are manageable. Overall i’m very happy with the Eloine pill 😊

I’ve been taking this pill only for a month so far but it’s a whole lot better than the previous pill i was taking a year ago (rigevidon) first few days of this pill i noticed i was a bit more emotional and irritated but it went away in a week i think i was just getting used to it. I have gained a little bit of weight but nothing too significant however i think that might just be because of my diet. My breasts have gotten bigger but they’re very tender hopefully that goes away a bit as i continue taking it. Slight loss of sex drive but not complete loss and a bit of vaginal dryness but it’s not too bad. I’ve gotten a few spots on my forehead but this could just be a result of my diet or travel and they’re only tiny for now but i’ll see how that goes. Overall pleasantly surprised at my experience so far compared to the absolutely demonic pill i was on previously, would recommend x

I used a 365 day method. It worked really well to manage my periods, it stopped completely for about a year but then I started getting some spotting so I stopped. It made me a bit anxious, but nowhere near as bad as rigevidon. It also really cleared up my skin. I probably would recommend this pill!

I unfortunately had to stop taking this after the 3 month period because of the amount of bleeding I was experiencing. Long periods and constant breakthrough bleeding throughout the month. Also had consistent headaches. Unsure if this was caused by the contracpetion but that was the main side effect I experienced.

So far I love Eloine. I take it in the evening which stops me getting nausea. First week I had a bit of nausea and spotting but giving it time to settle, it stopped. My rosacea came back mildly, but it’s worth it as I love this pill so much and I can deal with skin issues easier than mood issues. So glad I tried this one. I hated all other combo pills.

After having tried the copper coil, which really did not work for me due to constant spotting, I switched to the pill. Having been on the pill before, I was looking for a contraceptive that would also help with clear skin and not cause hair loss, similar to Dianette or Yasmin. I tried returning onto Yasmin but had too many side effects. Due to my age, doctors were reluctant to put me on the combined pill, but I was concerned the mini-pill would not have the same benefits as the combined pill. Eventually, a senior doctor advised I try Eloine, which is similar in benefits but still lower dose than Yasmin. I had some side effects initially and felt the effect on my mood, but after 3 months, I barely have any side effects, clear skin and no additional hair loss.

I started taking this medication after doing research into combined pills. I started birth control from pre-teen age and had bad experiences, especially related to low mood, anxiety and depressive symptoms (using cerzette and logynon). I wanted to find a pill which would not affect my mental health, but would improve my acne, lessen menstrual symptoms and be effective as a contraception. I came across Yaz, which was discontinued so requested this alternative from my GP. My doctor warned me about increased blood pressure, which I have experienced but I'm still in the normal range. I have gained weight on this pill, but I have also gone through the later stages of puberty while using this pill (so my body has changed anyway). I may have gained weight for other reasons, but I have noticed my appetite increase. Compared to other pills, the notable effects on mood were probably external environmental factors rather than due to the pill. I do experience anxiety anyway. After being on this pill for about 3 years, which included the coming out of lockdown phase, I would say my mental health is now stable and I'm still using this pill. In terms of sex drive, it has decreased slightly, but this could be due to being in a long-term relationship too/other environmental factors. My skin has significantly cleared. I choose to not take the break on this pill, which I did double check with a doctor about. I wouldn't do this without checking. I have experienced breakthrough bleeding as a result of this, but it stops if I take the pill consistently every day at exactly the same time. I have never been pregnant while on this pill and plan to stay on it. Overall, at 19, I feel I am very stable, mentally and in terms of menstruation. I would recommend it. I do advise trial and error as birth control effects everyone differently :)
