I'm not really sure how I feel about this pill. I've been on the combined pill for the last four years, and had to switch suddenly because one of my doctors said that I cannot take it anymore due to chronic migraines (without aura). One of the main reasons I started birth control was for the awful hormonal acne I've had since the age of 9. I've spent almost my entire life attempting to get clear skin, and managed to do so while I was within a few months of taking the combined pill. Now, I've had some of the worst breakouts ever since I was first going through puberty mainly around the cheek and jaw. Deep, blind pimples that stay there for days without coming to a head, and, when they do come to a head they take ages to go away. Even smaller pimples take around a week, maybe two, to heal fully. They'll scar over and stay there indefinitely. I am extremely diligent with my skincare, I stick to the same rotation of products and generally take good care of myself, so this has completely ruined my confidence. Not to mention the horror of viewing my face underneath dim lighting to see all the closed comedones threatening to crawl out of my skin. I say I'm not sure about this pill because the amount of pimples I get are around 3-4 at once, but as aforementioned, they take absolutely forever to heal which has never happened to me before. I have combination skin, so already the pores around my T-zone are slightly larger than most people's due to this and genetic factors, but some days I physically cannot stand to look at them in the mirror. Ever since starting this pill I swear I've had pores that literally look like dents in the size of my nose and it is HORRIFYING. It is so devastating to spend so much time and effort working on skincare for it to not matter because of hormones. I can only pray that as time goes on my body gets used to the pill and my skin doesn't look like this anymore. Another thing is that I definitely feel I'm sweating a lot more, having to re-apply deodorant much more frequently than before.

The side effects I experienced on this pill were awful. I can’t take estrogen so have limited options. My mood dipped, and I had the worst breakouts of my life. Giant painful spots all over my chin which tanked my confidence, and I was bleeding almost constantly. Changed to Slynd after 3 months and can’t recommend that pill enough!

Gave me extreme depression. I was on this pill so long that I didn’t even realise it was the pill giving me the depression, when coming off it I felt a weight lift off my shoulder. My thinning hair went away and my mood improved so drastically. It did make my boobs bigger which was the only good side effect but I’d rather be happy. Would recommend cerazette as an alternative to anyone who has mood issues and frequent bleeding on noriday

I felt satisfied until I came on here and realised my symptoms might be to do with this pill. I had a baby 14 months ago and have recently felt awful - low self esteem, anxiety, back pain, bad skin, weight gain, bloating, headaches, migraines... The list goes on. I thought it was part and parcel of having a small human but I'm starting to think it might be because of the noriday. In terms of my periods this is the best mini pill I've tried which is why I've still given it 3 stars. They're shorter and not too heavy or painful so an improvement for me. But due to the other symptoms I might have to look at an alternative. Maybe the dreaded coil.

I switched to Noriday to stop the irregular bleeding and spotting I developed on Desogestrel/Cerelle. After eight years without periods on Desogestrel, I began having irregular bleeding at 40 — two periods a month plus spotting in between. Once I changed to Noriday, the chaotic bleeding stopped immediately, and the brain fog and fatigue also lifted. I suspect these symptoms were linked to perimenopause, and they’ve settled since starting Noriday. Ideally, I’d prefer no period at all, but having a predictable three-day period on Noriday is far better than the chaotic bleeding I had on Desogestrel.

I have never been this overweight in my lifetime... Always been a size 10-12, I'm 50yrs old and started taking these at 48 yrs old due to falling pregnant unexpectantly... however this was the worst option I took as I gained over 20kgs in weight. I went from 80kgs to 106kgs

Ive been on this pill for a few years..Mood okay most of month but then after my period it seems to drop quite alot to low levels..which concerned me when im not depressed.. sore breasts at times .bleeding very little .no spotting.. but that could be my age. Sex drive okay. Skin seems okay- normal acne. I'm might try cerazette see if it helps mood issue.

I have been on this pill for 4 months. My periods are regular which is the ONLY good thing about it. My skin is awful, bloating is insane. The bleeding is heavier than I’ve ever experienced and my sex drive has completely disappeared. Everyone’s experience is different but personally, this is the worst pill I’ve ever tried.

Never have had a pregnancy scare (touch wood). I’ve been on Noriday for at least 5 years now and affect trying 2 different BC’s and another mini-pill, this is by far the best off.

I’ve been on this pill for about 4 years now and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Periods come and go when they please (at least 2/3 times a month) and can last for weeks on end. I tried to change to Desogestrel after a trip to the doctors but that made me throw up for 5 days straight. I’m limited to what pills I can take due to family history so I’m stuck with this until I can find an alternative, only plus side is is haven’t fell pregnant once whilst on it.

Monitor your moods closely. Don’t recommend using if you’re not in a somewhat ok place mentally.
