Cap or diaphragm ingredients

A birth control diaphragm or cap is a reusable barrier method of birth control that is inserted into the vagina before sex. It is covered in spermicide (a gel that kills sperm) and prevents pregnancy by covering the cervix so sperm can’t get into the womb. There are a few things that can make the diaphragm or cap less effective. These include if it doesn't fit properly
you remove it too early
it is damaged
you forget to use spermicide
or it is used with other oil-based products. If these things happen you may need to use emergency birth control.

My very favorite thing about the Caya is that there really are no side effects. I am not putting anything into my body that is changing the way my body functions- I put it in, leave it in a while, and then I remove it. No hormones, nothing! I’ve been advised that while the Caya can be 80+% effective when used correctly, it’s best to use it with spermicide and condoms. It is tricky to insert the first few times but super easy to remove and I quickly got the hang of a quick and easy insertion! I did find it really difficult to find a pharmacy that sold the Caya (I guess they aren’t as popular now)- but all in all, it’s been fantastic so far! I love that my body gets to function as it normally would but that the Caya helps prevent pregnancy

So far, it’s been a lot of change and it’s not necessarily worth it

Insertion was quick and painless and I haven’t noticed any side effects roughly 9 months in. My period essentially stopped with some occasional bleeding.

Got Nexplanon inserted 3 months after my son was born, and at first it regulated my periods, until they stopped for a few months, then started again, short 3-4 day periods. Now my periods last 20 days. It is always kinda itchy, and it is scheduled to come out in November. I will not be using this birth control again.

It's been great and I've gotten this implant replaced in 2020. However, I've recently gotten pretty bad acne and profuse sweating when my period started (it was somewhat heavier spotting than usual and has continued for over a month now. I usually never get my period) I'm not sure if this is because of the implant, but other than these last 2 months, it has been a great experience.

My only complaint would be that when I first got on it, I bled for 2 months straight, but I was put on estrogen and I have not had any excessive bleeding since then

It’s better than the pill in many ways, but it’s definitely not perfect. Nexplanon has stopped my periods with the exception of one 7+ day long HEAVY period. I also pour sweat like it’s what I do for a living. My sex drive has greatly suffered too. The higher risk of ectopic pregnancy is scary as someone who lives in a pro-life state. However, IUD insertion scares me and I’m bad at taking pills consistently. So implant it is! I wish I could give it 4.5 stars.

I didn’t mind it at all until I noticed vaginal dryness and I spotted almost every day. On my period days I would bleed a lot more so it’s annoying that I can’t enjoy my sex life. Thinking about going back to the pill or trying out the patch. Also don’t know if it’s from the implant or stress but I feel pain on the back of my lower skull.
