Indivina is a continous combined tablet containing a well known synthetic progesterone called medroxyprogesterone. This is the same progestogen that is used in the DepoProvera and SayanaPress contraceptive injections. Medroxyprogesterone is often very good at controlling bleeding. Indivina is unique as it comes in different doses of both the oestrogen and progesterone, so can be helpful to titrate your dose.

Method

Continuous HRT is where you take the same dose of both oestrogen and progesterone every day. It is used when your periods have stopped or when you have used cyclical HRT for more than 1 year. The aim of continuous HRT is to prevent bleeding.
Oestrogen is the main component of HRT. If you have a uterus you should use HRT which also contains progesterone, or alongside progesterone to protect the womb lining (endometrium) from overgrowing as this can increase the risk of endometrial cancer.
