This pill is the DEVIL. I’ve tried many pills and this is the absolute worst. It starts off fine but somehow worsens the longer you are taking it?? Awful headaches, bleeding heavy enough to be using more than 3 sanitary towels per hour which lasts weeks. I was bleeding the majority of each month. The cramps were unbearable. Painful acne, THRUSH (which I never usually get), and caused me to have depression the worst I’ve ever experienced. As soon as I stopped taking, every symptom disappeared. I know everyone has different experiences on each contraceptive, but a pill that has the potential to cause all of this can’t be good for anyone. Please avoid for your own health.

I had far heavier, very irregular (more frequent) periods. I had a week of terrible cramps and mood swings before each period, and overall a really noticeable drop in mood over time. I took this after having my first baby, and persevered for 7 months assuming that my mood swings were linked to my life change. I feel much better immediately after coming off this.

After randomly having issues with the copper coil (after 5 successful years) and reluctantly having to go back on hormonal contraception I was dreading it but this pill is far better than any other mini-pills I've tried. I was able to compare the effects to my hormone-free self thanks to my time with the coil and in comparison to earlier pills/minipills in my late teens, I honestly feel like the side effects are far less. The main side effects that make me consider coming off it are increased in thrush outbreaks, cold sore outbreaks (both were very rare for me before I went on this pill) and low mood/angry moods. The main side effect I don't mind but encounter a lot is nausea. It's in comparison to other pills I've tried (A LOT) that I'm willing to accept the above side effects. I'll take a bit of low mood over whole-body acne, sky high blood pressure and heart conditions any day! (For context I'm not allowed on the combined pill again after I had blackouts and ended up with a heart condition after being on Cilest so my options are very limited. The copper IUD gave me a great 5 years but refuses to stay in place now (3 failed attempts with a new coil and not sure I can handle another) so it seems the mini pill is my only option!)

I changed to this mini-pill from Cerelle as that one gave me quite bad anxiety. Apart from slight weight gain, feeling tired in the few days before my period and having quite a heavy period in the beginning this pill has regulated my periods and shortened them. Will continue using it.

The benefit of not getting pregnant still manages to put weight the costs of irregular periods.

Started using Norethistetone also known as Noriday. Using the second pack. My period is much longer now. I'm thinking of not using it anymore. Will change to another type of pill. Maybe the pills isn't right for me.

It's not been terrible but I'm really not a fan of this pill. I'm on the pill for my endometriosis (to stop my periods) but I can't use the combined pill due to migraines. I've still had periods on this pill - they've been very regular though, with 26 day cycles. My skin has been really bad. It's been very oily with more acne which has been on my back/shoulders/upper arms/chest as well as my face. I've also gained weight quite quickly which has resulted in a lot of stretch marks. I've completely lost my sex drive. I get a lot of pain around ovulation and in the week before my period, as well as my period.

I have struggled to find contraception that works for me for years but I think this is the one! Miraculously, after being worried about it making my acne worse, it actually cleared up my acne, which had been continuous for 3 years, in one week! It turns out that low progesterone was causing my acne. When I first started taking it I experienced bad indigestion/ heartburn/ acid reflux and nearly stopped, but I then discovered that I have low stomach acid and the pill triggered symptoms but wasn’t the cause so have taken measures to increase my stomach acid and am feeling much better. I’ve had one migraine and a couple of headaches but I’m assuming this will settle down as I’m not even a month in yet.
