I’ll give a detailed review - started it to help my spots a little, and due to getting in a relationship. I’ve been on it almost 2 months which might not be long enough, but my spots have gotten slightly worse, and had mood swings (such as crying over not being able to chose what takeaway to get for dinner hahahah, compared to me crying once in a blue moon). But the thing that confirmed me needing to change is the fact my vagina is irritated and sore, think it’s thrush, as applying the cream helps… until I decide it feels okay and stop applying it for it to only get sore again :(. I haven’t had the thrush problem with other combined pills I’ve tried - I’ve tried rigevidon, millinette and eloine.

Amazing for regulating periods and didn’t take long at all to regulate periods and now they’re like clock work and I can predict when I start bleeding down to the hour. Haven’t help with period pain or the heaviness and mood swings are terrible. Whenever I’m close to my break I cry at everything or are angry at everything. Also gained wait when first starting it however it’s been easy to maintain and lose since then.

I was originally taking Cilique but chose to give another pill a try due to my discharge being quite bad. So, I was told to go on this pill as it might help my discharge, which it hasn't. I've been taking it since March and to begin with, I had no side effects until recently. I have no sex drive and when I do actually want to try and have sex, I'm so dry which has never happened before. My hair is really thinning out and it makes me sad to look back on photos as my hair was so thick. My discharge is still as bad as it was and my weight is increasing despite going to 5 exercise classes a week. So I'm going to come off this pill and go back onto cilique.

Overall I was really satisfied with microgynon 30 and was on it for a year and everything seemed perfect until I noticed I was suffering from hair loss on my head. Went to a gynecologist and she said it was likely an androgenic side effect of microgynon so I have since stopped using it. Really upset to come off it as everything else on it was great; my moods were the same, better skin, lighter period, significantly improved cramps, bigger boobs etc.

I was on this pill for 16 years. I had no major issues. I loved how it regulated my periods. I did gain weight in the last 2 years on it so had to come off it and go on the mini pill. The weight gain wasn’t caused by the pill but some bad habits I got into. I am now losing weight and would like to go back on this if I can.

Was okay but I decided to go natural as I lost any desire for sex

It's okay for a starter pill, however after a few months it's honestly best to keep monitoring closely. I was okay for the beginning, but It gave me leg pains, emotions and a lot of weight gain.

Average pill, it done the job. But it wasn’t for me. I’ve been on this pill on and off 3 times over the last 2 years. It did impact my mood slightly, I felt low and only realised this once I stopped taking it. On my 3rd try, it also made the withdraw bleeds extremely painful.

This was the first ever pill I was put on by my doctor. It was fine and worked a treat. My moods were pretty horrendous. I have a slightly fiery temper anyway but this made me and my partner clash something awful. I didn’t experience any problems with libido or symptoms in general other than mood. Although I had been on this particular pill for so long that it had actually made the skin on the walls of my vagina thin which can be a side effect. Due to this I had to have a small but still, operation to have this sorted. I only came off the pill as my doctor said it was discontinued and put me on levest. I now realise it wasn’t discontinued and they were trying to cost save.

This was my first pill, and as someone with generally stable emotional range, I was an absolute mess. I cried all the time and didn't understand why. My poor boyfriend at the time had to live with it. It made me into a soppy, weepy mess over ridiculous things. I'm so glad I realised that the pill was doing this to me and stopped.
