I have been relying on the male condom since my 11 year old daughter was born. Works effectively for me but can dampen the mood during sex.

I feel compelled to write here after watching Davina McCall's programme Pill Revolution, which didn't mention condoms once! Condoms are a good option if hormonal contraception isn't working for you, and a necessity if you and your partner are not monogamous or have not had a sexual health check up. Even my shittiest ex was ok with using condoms after I made a conscious decision to come off the Pill, so ladies, don't lower your expectations!

Very positive. Condoms allow for me to not need hormonal contraception and keep in touch with my cycle.

Condoms are great! Three types of hormonal contraception have all been disastrous. As long as you put it on right (one accident in 25 years), condoms are the business. No loss of sensation. No mess to clear up. No pregnancy. (Not to mention much reduced risk of STIs if not in a monogamous relationship.)
