I had been on the combined pill for 10 years prior to this, but had to switch because I had two migraines. On the positive side, my previously very painful periods became a lot lighter and almost painless. However they are now incredibly irregular and long lasting. I've got 40 days without a period, to then have 21 days of bleeding. My skin is the worst its been since I was a teenager, and no skin products I've tried have made any difference. Losing weight has been impossible. I'm here looking for other options because I'm fed up!

I was put on this brand after my GP said my prescription was put on a generic where chemist chose what ever brand they have. I'd been on Cerelle brand for over 5 years and this brand isn't suiting me. I've only been on this brand a month but I'm experiencing stomach cramps, irregular periods. Where before I wasn't seeing any period unless I accidentally missed a tablet. I'm feeling very tired and low in my mood which has effected my sex drive. I'm having headaches also. I have researched this brand and I've read other women have experienced these side effects. I'm contacting my gp to arrange a consultation on this as I want to be back on my previous brand my body is used to taking. I'm hoping I can as I'm not feeling well taking this.

Had a really bad time on this pill. I changed pharmacies and they gave me this instead of Cerazette/Cerelle which I've taken interchangeably for the last 10 years. Demono really screwed me up – my mental health has plummeted to the point I feel depressed now and I never have before. Always been anxiety-prone but it's been through the roof. No sex drive, find it much harder to get wet (pardon the TMI), spots all over my chin almost constantly, put on weight especially around my belly, and after having 10 glorious period-free years, I've started having heavy periods in very irregular patterns (for example I will be on for a week, off for a week, then back on for a week). I finally spoke to my nurse and begged her to take me off this – I'm staring Cerelle again today and hoping this will clear up.

I was sterilised 11yrs ago and had nightmare periods that just took over my life. After multiple hospital visits I had an endometrial ablation 6mths ago. Yay my life back, except for the headaches/migraines a few days before my period 🤦♀️ so gynecologist prescribed Desomono/Desogestrel - longer, heavier bleeding - Dizzyness - Headache/migraine already had 4 separate in a month - sweating especially at night. Will be coming off them ASAP

Been on the prog only pill for years but recently moved counties and my local pharmacy swapped me from cerelle (which was great in my experience) to desomono. Since then my periods have been so irregular, having sometimes none for ages and then months with 2-3 periods in with spotting in between. Gained weight, boobs are much bigger and more tender. Trying to get off this asap!

I had to change to this pill from the combined pill because I was getting migraines, but I prefer the combined pill a lot more. The mini pill has impacted my mental health quite negatively so far, caused me to have regular, intense headaches, and it has given me acne

Periods are so heavy and last ages until they work again. I go a whole month and then they get really bad and cause pains and sometimes excessive bleeding. Sometimes it works for me sometimes it doesn’t.

I am coming to the end of the 3rd month and I have had about 3 or 4 periods each month. 1 or no days between. Constant bleeding, heavy or not. Painful headaches, cramping and migraines. On the plus side, it hasn't affected my mood like the combined pill.

Almost 6 weeks in and I have had 3 periods already. Very heavy and last for weeks. Can easily use one super plus tampon in 1 hour. Took for one week, had a 7 day period, Then nine days later I started another period that has not stopped as of yet. Again really heavy, went lighter, then is heavy again.
