My periods were really heavy. I would lose so much blood in the first 2 days that I’d be really, really dizzy and weak. I had excruciating pelvic pain at least 2-3 (sometimes more) a week. I was taken to A&E a couple of times as I passed out due to pain. I thought this was normal… but then I stopped taking Brevinor after a couple of years. The pain reduced significantly. Still had pelvic pain with Cerazette (mini pill) but not as frequently. I’m not on any pills now and I feel so much better. No pelvic pain, no mood swings, no tears.

I’m on the second pack of this pill after trying approx 7 other pills due to heavy periods and extremely painful cramping. My previous pill was Microgynon 30 which caused me to spot/discharge more which has continued with this pill. The skin down there is extremely dry and itchy and has frequently broken into small cuts. Especially due to having to wear liners a lot due to spotting/blood coloured discharge. I have a 6 month prescription so fingers crossed these side effects go away.

After being on this contraception for around a year, started experiencing thrush a lot. Came off for a few months and the thrush was gone, as soon as i went back on it was back! Ended up changing to a progesterone only pill.

Started this pill to help with spots, It didn’t clear up acne but didn’t make it worse. I did get cramps and breakthrough bleeding which I had never had before, the break through bleeding is what caused me to stop

This is the only pill I've ever tried with no noticeable side effects. Love it, would still be on it were it not for the current global shortage + it's not well-known here in the UK so I had to switch to Rigevidon after running out of Brevinor, which has been a far worse pill for me.

I'm in Australia, where Brevinor has been available for many decades (as one of the early pills). It's considerably cheaper than other pills that are on the market and you don't have to have your period every month.

I was put on this pill after initially trying and reacting horribly to Rigevidon. My main reason for switching was the emotional toll Rigevidon was taking on me, but I felt completely back to normal after going on Brevinor and didn't notice any particularly adverse emotional side effects. I did have a fair amount of spotting during the first couple of months on Brevinor, but it eventually settled down and my periods become quite regular. My main reason for getting on the pill was awful period cramps, and so far Brevinor has been mostly successful at keeping these at bay. There have been a couple of times it didn't quite work, but it was still way better than my periods when off the pill. I also had a fair amount of acne during the first three months, but this cleared up around the six month mark and my skin has been amazing after that.
