I started seeing a therapist because of how depressed this pill has made me. My doctor advised I continue to take it despite this. I am on my third month and it has only got worse! I have never been depressed in my life so it’s thrown my world upsidown. Weirdly my worst side effects were during the week I went off this - dizziness, nausea, headaches. While on the pill I had more acne as well, which cleared up a bit during my week off. Needless to say this hasn’t been the right pill for me.

Been on this pill for nearly 6 months since I’ve been on this pill I’ve noticed I have gained half a stone and i would get other side effects such as sweating and nausea and sometimes the odd headaches the only improvement I have noticed with this pill is clear skin and more regular lighter periods the great gain for me isn’t great I exercise a a lot and can’t seem to shift the weight I’m hoping to switch to a more permanent contraception as I’m not planning on ever having children in the future

Made my boobs larger but a bit more tender. Occasionally experienced bleeding after a while because I took it back to back. I had the worst period cramps of my life when I had a period on this pill

this pill really worked for me, i’ve been on it since i was 15 and had to switch due to migraines, but i always had clear skin on it and it didn’t lower my mood either, also found it really reliable even if i took it with a 7 hour window

I’ve had to stop taking this pill because every time I would start taking it after a period break it would give me extreme nausea. I would even wake up in the night with it. No point in taking it anyway as my sex drive is so low (probably from the pill) I’m not at risk of pregnancy at all. Only good thing about it is it’s kept my skin clear

At the time I was very happy on this contraceptive pill. Minimal side effects, Improved my skin, boobs went up a cup size. Came off it as I was swapped to Microgynon 30 due to my sexual health practice no longer having maexini in stock. Since coming off combined contraceptives I have realised that the pill had lowered my sex drive and left my emotions feeling rather monotone.

I have sex regularly with my partner and I haven't had any pregnancy scares since I started using this. I am quite meticulous about taking the pill every day around the same time, so I'm unsure of the efficacy if not being very regular with the pill. As far as I know, I have no symptoms due to this contraception. I have developed a latex allergy since I started taking this contraceptive, but this could be unrelated? Haven't been off it since latex allergy developed so couldn't say for sure. The only thing that really worries me is that I'm a smoker and I know estrogen increases my risk for heart attacks and blood clots - I have spoken to my GP about this concern and was advised that this would only become a huge issue in my 30s

Honestly if your looking for something to help stop your periods but don’t mind gaining weight, increase in acne and being sad all the time recommended this pill if not don’t do it I got recommended to not take a break from the pill at all by my doctor if it works for me wich is amazing as I now don’t suffer from painful periods like before, also a change in discharge may accure because of the hormone overall I’d just get the implant I’m going to x
