This birth control was prescribed to me for our IVF treatment for suppression. Mind you, I have no history of mental illness but a few days on this pill I felt crazy, severe depression, suicidal thoughts, and just felt like I had no will to live. Felt nauseas and just didn't want to get out of bed all day. It even terrified my husband. Everyone's experience is different but upon reading up on reviews on this pill I've seen very similar experiences like mine. I notified my physician because I couldn't take the side effects anymore and he quickly took me off it and prescribed a different birth control. As soon as I stopped taking Apri all the negative side effects subsided. Thank goodness the new birth control works well with me. Based on my personal experience, I always notify any physicians that I cannot take this pill. I will never look twice. Just horrible.

Made my period short and regular but so heavy. Like only 2-3 days but going through a super plus every couple hours.

I switched from Yasmin to Jasmiel and it’s better because Yasmin was giving me crazy migraines, and now I don’t have them anymore. The only thing is that Jasmiel is making me sweat, and also sometimes I’ve not gotten my period although I’m not pregnant.

I have suspected PMDD and after being prescribed this pill I experienced a normal period for the first time in my life with no crying or rage and no convincing myself that everyone secretly hates me and that I should just isolate myself. If you forget to take them (especially at the beginning of the pack) those symptoms will return to a moderate degree however. My performance in college and my interpersonal relationships have improved since going on the pill. Is also fairly cheap, I get it from student health services for ~$10 a month.

I think getting off this birth control does my mood a little bit negative and I've experienced some vaginal dryness but Im not too sure if it was from the birth control lol but overall I don't think my body changed at all besides my skin getting clearer and my periods being short and light but I do also skip my periods which makes my period blood dark brown/black whenever I get off of it for a week. If you miss 3-4 pills, my period comes within 2-3 days.
Somewhat negative mood
