at first i experienced a lot of anxiety and mood swings but after a few years seemed to die down. Weight gain and libido have been the really only symptoms I have experienced. Have not had a period the whole time.

Did the sex drive come back??

I am experiencing loss of sex drive, vaginal dryness, days where I just cry or either are angry then cry so much for no reason. I am scared to go to my doctor and tell her all of this. What should I say to her?? I’m scared of coming off the pill too in case of getting pregnant although my boyfriend’s sure he will take precautions. Have you gone into another contraceptive or are you free of them now? I really want to do the natural way but I’m scared of the irregular periods and risk of pregnancy

I'm the original reviewer! Lowdown56917, you sound similar to me! We use condoms now, it's not been an issue at all. My emotions feel more balanced now. I don't think my sex drive has changed hugely actually but looking back it was probably related to my low moods because who wants to have sex when they feel like shit all the time. I spoke to a lowdown doctor as i was worried about coming off the pill after so long (Dr mel) and she put my mind at ease. I have regular periods now as they went back to normal literally from month 1

Began experiencing yeast infections almost immediately after beginning medications, even though I’ve had zero history of yeast infections in the past. Also experienced increase vaginal dryness with painful intercourse. Last but not least, I feel like my depression has been worse.

Nikki birth control pill  

Headaches when using placebo pills. Improved when taken continuously but then had weeks of spotting. Thighs noticeably bigger. Weight increase 2-3 pounds over 3 months. Previously on Yaz in my late 20s and early 30s - loved it. This one did not work for me in my mid 40s

Mili birth control pill  

No see drive. Gained 15 pounds over 6 years, mostly at the start. Can't seem to lose weight. It's the only bc pill that doesn't seem to affect my heart arrhythmia. Got pregnant twice on this stuff though!

Estarylla birth control pill  

I actually really enjoyed the effect Estarylla had on my mood. It helped me through PPD (in combination with prenatals and exercise). However, it gave me nasty cystic acne, so I had to switch. Other birth controls have messed with my mood negatively, so I was really bummed to give this one up after the positive effect it had. The sex was good, too.
