Kliovance contains a low dose of oestrogen combined with a synthetic progesterone called norethisterone. This is a really well established progesterone that has been used for years. It can be good at controlling breakthrough and irregular bleeding side effects, but comes with a slightly increased risk of blood clots and breast cancer compared to other types. You may experience side effects such as bloating, sore breasts or mood change. If you need to increase the dose, Kliofem contains the same hormones in a higher dose.
