Estradot Conti 40/130 is a low to medium dose of oestrogen continuous combined form of HRT for women with a womb. The Estradot brand is popular due to it's sticky and small patch. The Estradot Conti patches contain both oestrogen and progestogen whereas the other Estradot patches only contain oestrogen. Many women prefer the Estradot patch over others so it is useful to have the option to combine both the hormones in one!

Method
Continuous
Continuous HRT is where you take the same dose of both oestrogen and progesterone every day. It is used when your periods have stopped or when you have used cyclical HRT for more than 1 year. The aim of continuous HRT is to prevent bleeding.
Combined (oestrogen and progesterone)
Oestrogen is the main component of HRT. If you have a uterus you should use HRT which also contains progesterone, or alongside progesterone to protect the womb lining (endometrium) from overgrowing as this can increase the risk of endometrial cancer.
