Elleste-Duet Conti reviews
0 reviews
Elleste Duet Conti contains a medium level of oestrogen alongside norethisterone, which is a well established synthetic progesterone that has been used for years in HRT and contraceptives. Norethisterone is a good progestogen to control bleeding. Elleste Duet Conti is designed to be taken after your periods have stopped for 12 months, or when you have been on a cyclical regime for 1-2 years, or from when you are 54 years old. Each tablet of the packet contains the same dose of both oestrogen and norethisterone. Make sure you take a tablet each day as missed pills may cause breakthrough bleeding.

Method
Continuous
Continuous HRT is where you take the same dose of both oestrogen and progesterone every day. It is used when your periods have stopped or when you have used cyclical HRT for more than 1 year. The aim of continuous HRT is to prevent bleeding.
Combined (oestrogen and progesterone)
Oestrogen is the main component of HRT. If you have a uterus you should use HRT which also contains progesterone, or alongside progesterone to protect the womb lining (endometrium) from overgrowing as this can increase the risk of endometrial cancer.
