Kyleena IUD
An unplanned pregnancy is one of my biggest fears. I have great peace of mind thanks to my IUD. The insertion hurt, but I did it without any anesthesia, painkillers, etc. I had spotting for the first couple of months. Then, distant and very light, short (3-5 day) periods for the first couple of years with the IUD. Now, in year 4 with the IUD, my periods are still light but last longer (5-10 days). The biggest change I noticed is I get horrendous period cramps whether or not I have a long or short, heavy or light period.
