I was on Depo for 10 years and LOVED it, I realize I’m a minority here but I loved that it stopped my periods, I had no issues down there the entire time I was on the shot. No adverse mood effects. The only “adverse” effects I might have had was a slightly decreased sex drive, but nothing debilitating, my husband and I still had a great intimate life.

Coming off the shot was hard, my breasts hurt A LOT before my first period which took 5 ish months to arrive after my last shot (2 months after the three month coverage window.) I didn’t have any issues conceiving, we conceived a month after my first period which was my biggest reason for stopping the shot.
