Tri Sprintec has varying amounts of progestin throughout the packet which tries to mimic a natural menstrual cycle more closely than other pills. This can help some women with side effects, but may also make you feel more emotional at different parts of the packet. The estrogen stays constant at a high level which can be great to prevent spotting or breakthrough bleeding. It comes in a 28 day packet with 7 placebo pills. You may have a withdrawal bleed during the placebo pill week.
