Nortrel 0.5/35 has a high level of estrogen which can be really useful if you suffer from spotting with other birth control pills. The progestin dosage is lower than with Nortrel 1/35 which may be better for some side effects such as bloating. The 28 day packet contains placebo pills to cause a withdrawal bleed.
