Milex is a diaphragm which is a barrier method of contraception. It is made of silicone and comes in one size which fits the majority of women. It is inserted into the vagina before sex and you need to use it with a gel that kills sperm called spermicide. It's a bit tricky to get the hang of, but some women love it due to the control and lack of hormones.

How does the Milex work?
Milex is a brand of diaphragm which is a shallow cup made of thin,
soft silicone that sits over the cervix to prevent sperm meeting an egg during sex. You need to use it with a gel that kills sperm called spermicide. The most common active ingredient of spermicides is nonoxynol-9.
