Levora is a combined pill that contains a standard dose of estrogen and a progestin called levonorgestrel which is one of the safest progestins to take. It's a really good option to try when you first start out with birth control as it has a lower risk of blood clots while keeping all of the benefits of the combined pill. It comes in a 28 day pack with 21 active pills containing the hormones, followed by 7 placebo pills which are a different colour. You will usually have a withdrawal bleed while taking these inactive pills.
