Yaz birth control pill vs Lo Loestrin Fe birth control pill

I had severe anxiety on this pill, and also all of the sudden got motion sick all the time. I was nauseous everyday and lost weight because I couldn't eat. It did definitely help with acne and my previously irregular periods. However, I lost 20 pounds and had to eventually stop. Within a week of stopping, my mood returned to normal and I wasn't panicking all the time. Within a few months, however, my acne got way worse and I started getting cystic acne along my jawline. I also still suddenly get motion sick sometimes, and this isn't something I ever had before.

I’ve tried the shot, the ring, different pills, this is the one. Weight gain was an important factor as was acne. I have not gained weight and have had only an occasional acne bump likely due to another cause. For birth control, just make sure you take the pill daily at the same time. I no longer experience mood swings or pms in anyway. I also do not have periods bc with my doctor’s approval, I take the pill straight through each month due to endometriosis.

Five stars because it saved my life. I have zest for life and do not intend to kill myself, but my PMDD turned me into a threat to my own safety for two out of every 3.5 weeks. I was so miserable that I wanted to be euthanized. Yaz makes me feel normal again, treat people normally again. The downside is some bloating, breast tenderness, and what little libido I had is gone. Additionally, since starting the pill I am prone to uncontrollable and unprofessional bouts of weeping when I do not feel like I need to cry. This is highly frustrating but better than living with PMDD. Generic version does not control my PMDD symptoms, brand name for me only.

I got major mood swings when skipping the placebo week, which is why I stopped.

I was on it for 4 ish years and really loved that I got no period on it and I feel it helped my PMDD - however I did get breakthrough bleeding towards the end and am switching to a different birth control

at first i experienced a lot of anxiety and mood swings but after a few years seemed to die down. Weight gain and libido have been the really only symptoms I have experienced. Have not had a period the whole time.

While taking this pill I have a great number of headaches since taking it. I also find myself going into depression. Thinking about a lot of negativities things. I also don't have a sex drive. The plus side about taking this pill, I have clearer skin.

I enjoy this birth control but the constipation part sucks

I was excited about the low dose option for this birth control, but I was disappointed. I had frequent, long periods in the middle of packs and I have developed severe hormonal acne. I did not feel that my libido increased enough to make the low dose worth it.

After getting the IUD removed, I decided to go on Lolo and it was 1 year of misery! At first, it was nice not having a period and my breasts becoming enlarged, but with those 2 positives came a lot of negatives for this birth control. I suffered from depression (my thoughts would race all day and night, sometimes I would just cry out of no where and I couldn't understand why I was crying or upset), anxiety got 10x worse than what it was, I was always on edge and very negative towards everything, I lost my drive to do anything, headaches almost everyday to the point I was sick to my stomach. I decided a year later to take myself off of them. I have only been off them a few days now so I can't say how I will feel within the next few weeks | months.

It was fine at first, but then 3 weeks in I started feeling symptoms of depression. I felt sad and like I wanted to cry all of the time, which was unusual. It was hard for me to stay motivated, keep up with basic hygiene and getting out of bed in the morning. I stopped taking this pill and the symptoms completely went away for me! I ended up switching to a Mirena IUD and it was a great decision!
