Viorele birth control pill vs Portia birth control pill

I’m on this pill to help with my migraines. While I don’t feel the pill prevents migraines caused by my chronic vascular and cervicalgenic migraines, it controls my hormonal shifting during the month to prevent hormone-caused migraines.

Managed my periods well (virtually nonexistent) and never caused acne or weight gain. I would get headaches/ migraines around the time of the inactive pills. I fear that 16 years of birth control pill use have been bad for my body and I am taking a break. I noticed cramping and fatigue within weeks of stopping.

I felt hungry all the time, gained weight (15 lbs over the 3 months I was on it), and had extremely elevated blood pressure which was not common for me — it was 140/96 at the highest, from the time I woke up to bed time. I had anxiety, high heart rate, and night terrors, again very uncommon for me.

I started taking this bc I have PMDD and also wanted to stop my period all together. I have no interest in getting pregnant. This pill was to stop my period and it did just that. I feel great on it.
