I will preface this review by saying I haven’t hit the full “3 month waiting period” for Junel yet, but so far I hate it. I’m so moody and angry all the time. I feel depressed and low. I have never felt these feelings before and the only thing in my life that has changed? My birth control. I’ve heard terrible things about the pill and I would not recommend Junel to anyone. Also I’m covered in hives and I swear they are from starting this birth control. The only thing I’m my life that has changed: birth control, but the doctor’s don’t believe me.

I felt hungry all the time, gained weight (15 lbs over the 3 months I was on it), and had extremely elevated blood pressure which was not common for me — it was 140/96 at the highest, from the time I woke up to bed time. I had anxiety, high heart rate, and night terrors, again very uncommon for me.

I started taking this bc I have PMDD and also wanted to stop my period all together. I have no interest in getting pregnant. This pill was to stop my period and it did just that. I feel great on it.
