Does vaginal ring cause cystitis?

I went on the ring at 27 and used it for two years. At the beginning I had a lot of spotting which went away after a few months. Overall, this contraceptive heavily affected my mood and contributed to a serious depression. Only after talking to a friend I decided to stop taking it in order to see how I feel without - it was as if a heavy weight was lifted off my chest. I also have to mention during those two years I had extreme low sex drive and vaginal dryness. I find it very scary that mental health is not taken into consideration when prescribing hormones and gynecologists tend to ignore the topic.

I’ve only been using the vaginal ring for a month now - I went on it after a recommendation from a friend, after trying about 5/6 different pills and they all either gave me anxiety/depression, migraines or acne. Too early to tell whether the ring will help my skin, it’s increased my anxiety a bit but nothing major - main problem is my sex drive has gone from low on the progesterone only pill to ZERO. My vagina is dry now and when I have sex with my boyfriend it burns during and after. I also have thrush/itching a lot and just general discomfort down there, and needing to go to the toilet a lot more, especially during the night. Wouldn’t recommend, especially if you’re in a relationship.

Pros: quite a fit and forget (for 3 weeks), doesn't affected by vomiting or intestinal problems. I fell pregnant just a month after I stopped this method. Cons: completely affected my sex drive, like... 0 with a huge problem with dryness BUT lot of leuchorrea.
