I don’t do well with pain, I pass out. So I was actually sedated to have the coil inserted as they couldn’t run the risk of me passing out. Unfortunately I can’t say much on the insertion however when I came to, I had some immense cramping, like nothing I had experienced before for the rest of the evening and the following day all was fine. My first period was normal, pain free and had me thinking I had ignored the trend. But then my 2nd, 3rd & 4th were bad, about 10 days long and more cramping that had me curled up on the floor for about 2 hours at the beginning of the cycle. I got the coil checked out and scanned as I was also having phantom like cramps throughout the month but all was okay. Since then, the last two periods have had light twinging cramps which are more noticeable rather than painful and 100000% okay for me to deal with (I just get a little short tempered for half an hour). I’m hoping this is the turn and they will stay like this or even get better, I was told 3-6 months for it to settle and I’m feeling much more positive now, than I was 2 months ago.
