Condoms are great! Three types of hormonal contraception have all been disastrous. As long as you put it on right (one accident in 25 years), condoms are the business. No loss of sensation. No mess to clear up. No pregnancy. (Not to mention much reduced risk of STIs if not in a monogamous relationship.)

I took this within 24hours of sex, during which the condom had failed. It didn't work and I ended up having an abortion.

This was my first pill at 16. It completely wiped out my libido and therefore I would not recommend it at all. I was young and naive and didn't know there were any choices. I'm not confident now (in my 40s) that it didn't have a permanent impact on my libido.

I had two injections of depo. I had spotting daily for the entire time I was on it. I gained weight, was very depressed, and lost libido. It was my worst experience.
