Started this contraception around 15-16 years old, I am now 20. I didn’t gain weight straight away, but over a number of years I have found it either increases my appetite or makes it harder to lose weight. When I did take a break from the pill for about 4 months at age 17 my sex drive was back and my weight did drop down. I didn’t notice any changes with skin getting worse. I am on this pill for tricycling purposes due to endometriosis pain. If the pill has been given to you for this reason, I don’t personally feel like the pain level has got easier- however having a period every 9 weeks opposed to 4 is obviously a bonus. I do suffer with severe anxiety but whether this was due to the pill or whether it would happen anyway I can’t be sure of.
